meeting, the first thing mentioned
was the departure of Br. Essex,
and then to the surprise and
regret of all, the departure of
Sr Mary Edgecumbe, after
a few days illness, it was a
truly solemn opportunity,
and though I know my
health suffered, yet feel
very thankful, I was en-
abled to be present, & that the
Lord has helped me through
this eventful year, for which
I return him my heartfelt
thanks, and do believe, having
helped me so far, if I am faith-
ful in prayer, he will not
forsake me.
