persecuted me every where. In this only perplexed Situ-
ation I opened the <sic>Bibel</sic>  <corr>Bible</corr> & just touched them Words:
<hi rend="underline">So der Gerechle kaum erhalten wird, wo will der
gottlose und Sünder ersheinen</hi>. I found myself
guilty as such a poor & <sic>wreched</sic>  <corr>wretched</corr> Creature, but had
Nobody who could advise me & show me the Way to my
Redemption. In this Situation I resolv'd a second
Emigration & came as <sic>fortunatly</sic>  <corr>fortunately</corr> to <placename>Berlin</placename> as the
first time, in the very time as <persname>Pattore Shulze</persname> arrived
there with the Colonie from <placename>Gerlachsheim</placename>. I joined
myself with the awakened Souls there & was very
<sic>Desireous</sic>  <corr>Desirious</corr> for my <sic>Happyness</sic>  <corr>Happiness</corr>, but very often hindereth
myself. A. <date>1738</date> I <sic>marryed</sic>  <corr>married</corr>, & as <persname>B.</persname><hi rend="superscript"><persname>r</persname></hi><persname> & Sister Jaeske</persname>
from the Congregation arrived, then the Work of the
holy Ghost came nearer to the Point in my Heart,
so that I could weep as a poor <sic>Siner</sic>  <corr>Sinner</corr> to our dear for
Mercy. So far his own Words.
A. <date>1749</date> he was receivd into the Congregat.<hi rend="superscript">n</hi> & the <date>27</date><hi rend="superscript"><date>th</date></hi><date> of May</date>
the same Year he was admitted to our holy <corr>Comunion</corr>  Communion.
From which Time he provideth happily in the Grace of our
dear Redeemer. He had a stiff Temper but was honest &
confident. Since two years he grow sickly, but did't spare
himself to requent all the Meetings as long as possible
In <date>Month of Febr</date>. he must keep his Bed quite,
his only Desire was that our Saviour would soon take
him home. He called very often: O dear Saviour
take me in thine Wounds! To Day he said: I have
still Time till 4 a Clock & to the very Hour he went
home happy & in Peace, w.<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> the Congreg.<hi rend="superscript">n</hi> Blessing.
