would I have seen them all if my strength
had been equal to it ----- to thank them
for their affectionate solicitude."
The following lines were written by
her after recovery from a severe illness.
"Back to the world again and all its cares!
Its hateful trials still more hateful snares,
My frame enfeebled b with its load of years
Mine eyes by age made dim - still more by tears;

Lest through my weakness into sin, I
                                                          sink."
And in the following strains
did she express her feelings of thankfulness:
"Thee O my God and King!
Thy praises will I sing,
The mercies great and free,
Which thou hast shown to me.
In pain and sickness sore,
Thy mercy hath run o'er.
In thy corrections kind
Thy comforts still I find,
