particular subjects, which a faithful Intercessor
is bound to pray for; and give me that hunger
and thirst after righteousness, that is pronounced
blessed - because it shall be filled. O give
me a mind to pray - keep me steadfast -
shut up my senses to all carnal objects,
and if I am speechless, let me still feel
in the presence of God. Let not Satan
prevail, who ever most fears the weapon
of prayer.
of Eden, and may the Lord God walk
therein. May I hear his voice, but being
covered by my Saviours robe, not hide
myself ashamed of my deformity; but
let me feel it is the voice of my Beloved -
my Father - my Friend. Let me feel it
in correction - in renewed strength -
in love - in awe - in sorrow or joy - as
that voice shall please - but only let me
hear it.
