days of my life. His dealings with me
have been nought but love; and I shall
thank him in eternity for having
brought me to the Congn. The longer
I live, the more I value my call
to the Brethren's Church. Here I have
found pasture for my soul, and have
been screened from many evils. It
is also a daily cause of thankfulness
to me, that I have never lost my
confidence in our Saviour, since he
first in mercy revealed himself to
my soul.Often have I to mourn
over my defects, and to feel his chas-
tisements; but these are not accom-
panied with a fear of his rejecting me
I know I am his - His blood was shed
for me - On his merits alone I rely
for acceptance, and I feel assurred,
that he will heal all my backslidings,
and perfect the work he has begun
in me."
