this people shall be my people". Having
been once, I wished to go again; but was
advised to wait till the arrival of an
English minister from Fulneck. As soon
as he came, I went to hear him. It was
a missionary sermon on the departure
of several missionaries to Labrador.
The text was: "Brethren pray for us."
Every word penetrated my heart I
felt ashamed and humbled, and
was exceedingly sorrowful, but I had
no conviction of sin or unbelief. The
subject of missions was quite new to me,
and filled me with wonder. I went
afterwards into the mission house, where
I felt ashamed to sit down in the pre-
sence of such holy men, and I was una-
ble to speak for tears. On the following
Sunday I went again, and stayed for
the first time to the childrens meeting.
Mr. Ig. La Trobe keept the meeting. I was
delighted with this meeting, and reflected
with bitterness on my own lost hours of
childhood. I longed to go and sit with

Register.
