I never humbly asked for light when I
opened my Bible.
It never occurred to
me that any thing was wanting but my
own wisdom - my own reason, of which I
had no mean opinion, towards under-
standing the word of God at this
time I was  had become my own mistress,
and I went to London to meet my sister
at the house of some Unitarians. Here
I determined to reside, and here I was
introduced to Atheists and deists -
phylosophers  philosophers and republicans. I
soon imbibed other principles, and
shutting up my Bible, I discarded
all revealed religion, and became a
professed deist and republican.
In this house I was continually expo-
sed to witnessing and hearing
much that was offencive  offensive - From
various causes I was very unhappy,
