chuse to take up the Congregations time with her Personals, since all she
had to say was comprized in these few words, I have wept after Him
we shall therefore just relate the most remarkable circumstances
of her LIfe and happy departure.
She was born in Amsterdam the 11 of May 1717 (her maiden name
was Centen:) the 18th of July 1736 she was married to the present wid-
-dower, our dear Brother Cornelius Schellinger. Some few years after
she and her Husband both receiv'd Holy Baptism, which made a
blessed impression on her heart. Some years after her Brother and
Sister Jacob Schellingers, brought her acquainted with the Cong
In the year 1745 she visited the first time at Herrnedyk which
was a lasting blessing to her. At first she was under great con-
cern, as she felt her great poverty and wretchedness but our d
Saviour gave her such a powerful Sense of his grace and love that
she obtained an assurance of her belonging to his people. In the
year 1746 she was receiv'd into the Cong together with her Husband
The same year she mov'd to Zeyst and in the Easter Holy Days
1747 was admitted to the Holy Sacrament. Concerning which she
enjoy'd herself in these Terms: "Our dear Saviour has granted me
the favour to partake of his precious body and blood. I cannot express
how I felt, but I shall never forget it, my heart was quite melted.
Now I will take my seat close to his wounds Humble poor & low. desire
nothing in time and eternity, but only to kiss the Lamb and his
bleeding wounds." It pleased our Saviour to bless her marriage
