Place his Father was (at the time of his Birth) a Minister, but after-
wards was calld to Budissen as Secundarius. His Mothers Maiden Name
was Cranzin, she was the daughter of a Merchant at Bunzlau.
After he had finish'd his schooling Görlitz, in Year 1714 He went to
Leipzig where he studies Divinity and became Master of Arts. Three
years after, his Father Dying, he visited his Mother at Budissen
Intending to return to Leipzig and settle there. But it just hap-

Lady ask'd Br Marche to take this office on him, He accepted
the offer and engaged together with the Information, to keep the
Dayly Prayers in the Castle at Rennersdorff. Here he became
acquainted with Count Zinzendorff, then a young gentleman
who came from Halle to visit his grand Mamma, and used often
to keep the Family Prayer during his stay there. Riding out
once together, they came to the place where Herrnhuth now
stands, immediately a thought darted into Brother Marche's
main, and he turn'd to the Count, and said, "My Lord, when
you shall have your estate in your own Hands, you can build
an Orphan-House here." in the year 1722 Christian David
and 2 other Families who had emigrated from Moravia namely
the 2 Neissiers Augustin and Jacob came to Rennersdorff with a Letter of Recomen-

order'd a dwelling to be assign'd them at Berthelsdorff. Br
Marche accompanied them thither, and as soon as they
came into the Woods, he fell on his Knees with them and
beg'd of God to bless their undertaking, at which they all felt
particularly cheerful. As they was pursuing their way to Bertheldr
dorf, they mistook their Road and came to the place where
the Burying ground now is in Herrnhuth. It presently came into
Br

Register.
