Current Transcription
the 17th of July our dear Friend is gone home viz
the Captain de Richter by a lingering & a
very hard sickness. He was born 1687 the 2d of Nov
at the Possession of Siggund. His Papa has been Luitenant
Colonell of Shweden, a downright
Calvinist, but his Mama was brought up in the Lutherian
religion & He embrassed the Latter. In his 12 year of Age
he came as Page to the Schwedish Privy Counsul &
Ambassador in Poland, Count de Horn, & then contred
the Service in Shweden as Adjutant by the renowned
Merrhall de Loewenhaupt and in the 17 year of his Age he
made him a Captain of the Infanterie. He was under King
Charles XII in Shweden in every Battle, as well in
Poland, Saxonie, & Ukraine, till to the great Battle
fought
