But his Parent was not contented with his conduct, & by that Means
all the Work of the holy Ghost in his Heart was extinguished,
He begun to love the World & did according to her Custom.
He became a Soldier in the Emperors Army in
Italy & served there 8 Years. After expiration of
His Time he was dismissed and went home and
marryed. Five Years after he came a
Widdower & then marryed his present Widow.
He was very much against the Church & the
Work of our Saviour & therefore a great Enemy
against the Brethren; But our Dear Saviour
made him the Object to proclaim his unbounded
Grace & Mercy: then as he sat at Lower Peile amidst
all his Camerades a sudden Fear & Anguish
of Heart sized upon him, that he did not know
what to do, he got loose of his Companies,
ran home & acquainted his Wife with his
unhappy Circumstances & his perplexity he
was in. After that he came in the Meeting
of the Brethren in Lower Peile, what he heard
there pirced his Heart & the holy Ghost showed
him the Way to him, that justifieth the ungodly,
that he brock out in a 1000 Siner Tears calld
for Grace & Absolution by the Feet of Christ &
found Peace and Mercy before our Saviour
The Meetings was a real Blessing for his Heart
& after he came to Upper Peile & in a nearer
acquaintance with the Brethren he was received
