IX. The Girl Mary Salome Schumann.
She was born in South America on Rio the Babice,
the 27th of May 1755. In her 4th year der dear blessed
Vater brought & her older Sister to Holland & they came
meanwhile at Zeist in the Anstalt, waiting of a convenient
opportunity to came to the Place of their Destination
hither to Hhuth, which after two Years past came
& the arrived the 17th or Sept 1781 with some other children here & came
into the Girls House & have been there hertely wellcome.
With our little it went in the Begin very hard, she could's
accustom herself here. But by Degrees she found herself very
well & became a very chearfull child. However her phleg-
matic Temper disturbed herself very often in her pleasure
& in the tender Conversation of the Children, so they
very often weepd about her, but she was several times
again comforted with our dear Savr. About 1 year since
she grew sickly & the same time a sudden alteration
was perceived on her, she was a wonder of the labour of
the holy ghost
