again the May following. Then I was awake
ned indeed, to see and feel my lost Condition
by Nature & Practice. I felt I was an Un-
believer. What I felt at that time, would be too
tedious to relate, till our Saviour let me taste, that He
was gracious; and I cannot say, I was in Despair;
but thought, it was the Way he took with Sinners
to bring me to Himself, and was not quite without
some Hope, in the midst of my Trouble. Soon
after some Brethren came to New York, after-
wards Count Zinzendorf and many others, whom
I felt a Love and Esteem for. but I was often
confused. When Br Peter Boler went to ac-
company the Count and many others to the Hook
in Order to go to Europe, Henry Antes preach'd
that Evening. His text was: Behold the Lamb of God,
that taken away the Sins of the World. Which
our Saviour blest to me, and I thought, I tis
surely the very truth. Since that Day I have
heard them, and lvoed and esteemed them
about all People, except when I was confused
by hearing so much Talk of Errors; but our
dear Saviour soon convinced me of the Truth
again. When Br Johannes Wateville came from
Shekomeka, I think it was, I had the Grace and
Blessing

Blessing to be received in the Brethren's Congre
gation and admitted to the Holy Communion
the same Night; which was an unspeakable
Blessing to my Heart.
What shall I say more? I could unumer
ate a great Deal of my Lord's gracious Dealing
with me; but let this suffice. If I was to tell
of the Blessings I have had from our dear
Saviour, and all my Faults and Failings;
I should write a large Volume. I will say
only this: that I only expect to be saved by
our dear Lord and Saviours Merits in his
Life and when he shed his precious Blood
on the Corss
