The LIfe of Brn Andreas Rillman
Bethlehem Aprill 9th 60
Our Br Andreas Rillman was born 1708 in
Saxony not in Freyberg a Village not far from
Naumburg and was bro't up in the Lutherna
Religion. In Naumburg he learn'd the Busi
ness of a Stocking Nitter and afterwards
travell'd as Journeyman; he was awaken'd
in Breslaw at the same Time with our Brn Nix
dorff, who from that Time had a particular
Acquaintance together. They visited diligently
all the awaken'd people the could hear of espe
cially the awaken'd Minister untill the two Brn
Brn Labatch and Henry Nitschmann travelling
thro' Breslaw visited Brn Nixdorff, who was
imediately convinced by the Brn's Discourse
and reach the Heart; for their Religion went no
farther than to be pious and grow better with
out Experience in the Grace in Jesus Blood, but
Br Rillman he remain'd still depending on
his own righteousness. Br Nixdorff visited
the Congregation in Herrnhut, and when he
came back again related to him what people
he had found there what he felt in his
Heart amongst him, what the Brn had
said to him, and that we must come to our
Saviour as Sinners, as ungodly and cry unto
him for his Grace, and he would surely be
help'd. At which he was very much affrighted
but remain'd Br Nixdorffs good Friend, but
could not understand the Point of coming as
a poor Wretch & miserable Sinner to our Savr
He now thought to set up his Business &
to alter his Condition & accordingly enter His
Name for Master & prepair'd all that was
