to Moscow, and after a very fatigueing Journey, put into a Cellar
which was full of Vermin, were we were oblig'd to stay 48 hours
untill we could be lodg'd in an old Cloyster, after a time we
were brought to another House were we dwelt together with several
100 Swedish Prisoners, I was not safe here with my Mamma, as
the Czarina woud have me brought to Court. My papa was
still in the sweedish army, and my Mamma, had no one
near hear that could take care of us; this made her resolve
to marry me, although I was then very young. Accordingly
I was married the 17 of March the same year, to the chief
officer Henry de Meyerman; my Mamma thought to have a
support in her son in Law, but we were seperated from her
the same year, and sent further so that she saw herself de-
priced of the assistance she had from me, which was a great
effliction on both sides after a very difficult Journey of
7 Weeks on the Wolga, we came to a city call'd Kusmademit-
-ensky, in the Government of Casan were we were quartered
allmost 2 years, and was once set upon by the Rusians
in the night so that my Husband was several times oblig'd
to fight his way thro. Here my daughter called Elis was born the
25 of December 1710 who went to our Saviour the 10 of May 1746
here in Herrnhuth.
