after I was over perswaded to go to a Dance, scarce did I begin
to dance before I was overcome with such terror that I left the company ommediatly, returned home and begged of god with
thousands of Tears to have mercy on me! because I had acted
against my better knowledege and Conviction. This was the
hardest night I had ever had in my Life before, moreover
I was soon after taken with the small Pox and suffered a
great deal in that Disorder. By this means the world
became so distasteful to me, that I thanked god with number-
ful Tears for his unspeakable mercies in setting me free
from its delusions. From this time forward I frequented the Methodists
society meeting AAAAA by Mr. Punchin and John gambold
and others but did not attain to real rest of soul. after some
time the Disciple came to Oxford visited our Society, spoke
all the awakened, and at his Return to germany, sent Brother
Wing to us, whose Testimony of Jesus Love to poor sinners
was greatly blessed to my heart. one time 14 of us being
at a Love Feast, Brother Wing at the close of the meeting
fell on his knees and prayed most fervently, In that instant
my deat Saviour! My Lord and my god! drew near my heart
in his bleeding form and it was to me as tho he spoke au-
dibbly to me: I have loved thee with an Everlasting Love
and none shall pluck thee out of my hand. This, which
