Ah! <trait>suffer </trait>me not to be a stumbling-

<b>block to any person, but may it in my walk be</b>

seen, that I with thee have been. These peti-

tions an unworthy sinner ventures to ask

only through our Mediator and Advocate, <persname>Jesus</persname>

<persname>Christ</persname>, who died for our transgressions and was

bruised for our iniquities; and of this I feel

assured: He <trait>loveth</trait> us unspeakably,

Nor lets us pray in vain,

But gives the fearful heart that <trait>hope</trait>

Thy suit thou shalt obtain.
